Porsche inaugurates a subsidiary in Brazil

Porsche inaugurates a subsidiary in Brazil

The Porsche, German manufacturer of luxury sports cars, whose matrix is in Stuttgart (Germany), presented its Brazilian subsidiary, the first in Latin America, at a press conference on Wednesday, November 11th. Porsche Brasil is headquartered in São Paulo's Brooklyn district, and has a team of 26 professionals by the end of this year.

Globally, Porsche operates in 125 markets, on five continents. The company has 18 sales subsidiaries around the world and 24000 employees. Porsche Brasil, 18th Sales subsidiary, is a joint venture between Porsche AG and Stuttgart Sportcar, former Porsche importer in the country.

For Matthias Brück, CEO of Porsche Brasil, the country is important for the manufacturer's growth plan. "The Brazilian market shows a good potential for medium and long term, despite the current economic situation. Porsche has a very faithful customer base in the country. We want to refine their experience with the brand, as well as discovering new customers, improving our sales activities, expanding our presence in Brazil and even closer to our customers and resellers, "says Brück.

Porsche currently owns seven sales points in Brazil, controlled and operated by two dealers (Stuttgart Sportcar and Eurobike).

The first model imported by the Brazilian subsidiary of Porsche was 1 911 GT3, in August 2015. Since then, operations have been developed positively, thanks to the contribution of the existing dealers network.

"We want to gradually expand the number of sales points to offer the current and future Porsche customers more contact points. In the medium term, we want to contribute to the worldwide growth of Porsche being here in Brazil, "said Brück.

Last year, the German manufacturer traded 742 vehicles in the country. The most sold models were Macan, Cayenne and Boxster.

"After several years of strong sales results, we have a gram of automotive park in Brazil, which we want to take care of. We will also launch new models for 2016, including cars previously not offered in Brazil, "says the CEO. "We participated, for example, of the 11th salon of Latin-American electric vehicles, components and technologies in Sao Paulo, where we first exhibited in Brazil the Cayenne S e-hybrid plug-in".
