VOLKSWAGEN National POLO will have four series airbags in search of maximum security note
Volkswagen has not yet officialized the Polo's serial items in Brazil, but company representatives confirm that the model will be equipped with four airbags in all its versions. This is part of the assembler's strategy to try to conquer five stars in the security tests of Latin NCAP. It is also part of the company's strategy to sponsor the first car crash test sold on our market.
All versions of Hatch will also offer headrest and three-point belts for the five occupants, plus traction control. The ports received two additional bars as reinforcements to ensure that the model will not disappoint the test that simulates a lateral collision. In addition to being considered one of the most dangerous accidents for passengers, the inclusion of this type of evaluation made it harder for any car to conquer the maximum security note in Latin NCAP.
Finally, some car parts were designed to prevent him from losing points in the evaluation. The two Isofix couplings, for example, have a kind of cocoon around to facilitate the installation of child seats. Some other models have been punished because, though they have the Isofix, the system has been deemed difficult to use. Moreover, the company's representatives assert that the design of the fender and the hood decreases the impacts against a pedestrian in the event of a hit-and-run. Finally, the hood was descaled from the engine to prevent the head of a pedestrian from colliding against the block.
