Genebra 2017: McLaren 720S

If there is an assembler who has amazed the specialized magazines/channels in Europe, believe me, it is McLaren. No SV, 911 Turbo, and not even 488 GTB – say that the epitome of technology is in the models of the new lineage of the English brand, the "Sport series". (We will resume later)

Presented in Geneva, the newest creation of the Woking engineers is the brand new 720S, which brought with it a series of innovations. First, McLaren abandoned its former 3.8 litre bi-turbo V8, used from 12c to P1. The heart has now been expanded to 4 liters, and has received 41% of new components – among them a pair of turbochargers

The news about the old 570S, 650s and 675LT do not stop there – new carbon fiber materials, new air sockets for radiators and a new suspension with hydraulic mechanisms (which eliminated the stabilizing rods) caused their dry weight to reach astonishing 1,283 kg.
